November 5th is Bonfire Night in the UK – when we celebrate the failure of an attempt by a bunch of radicalised religious fundamentalists to blow up parliament and the reigning monarch.
We do this by sticking an effigy of one of the conspirators on top of the bonfire, remembering the brutal torture and execution of Guido Fawkes.
Nice eh? I love British history!
Anyway, we also get to wave sparklers with our little girl which is tremendous fun!
Not sure what the significance of this is other than getting to have fun together as a little family!
