Being a teacher is incredibly rewarding. It’s flippin’ hard work and you do wonder why you’re doing it sometimes…but it is great.

This is the result of a pretty intense hour focusing on Euthanasia with a class of year 10s (14/15yr olds). We explored the Tony Nicklinson story and asked if the right to die should be a human right. Their maturity was astonishing.

This is why RE is important. Where else do we give pupils the space to think about these things in our busy curriculum? Surely this is worth our time and effort…
