day 69…

Just back from a lovely evening out with our friends Tobit and Mary (and) Andy and Jo…

We had these little questions with our after-dinner chocs…

So…what is your favourite novel?

  1. Catch 22 by Joseph Heller, without a doubt. Followed by Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis de Bernieres, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams. But Catch 22 wins the day, and probably always will for me! 🙂

    1. Excellent! Thanks for joining in…

Catch 22 is a great read…as is HGttG, but haven’t read CCM yet.

It’s on a shelf somewhere here at home…must dig it out

  2. I meant to say that my current favourite (after lots of deliberation!) is the Thin Red Line. It’s a beautifully written book that expresses the brutality and hopelessness of war and yet the incredible resilience of humanity…
